Tenpower’s parent company, Azure Corp. (SZ.002245), plans to invest approximately US$290 million to develop a cylindrical lithium battery manufacturing project in Indonesia, further strengthening Tenpower’s global manufacturing network and supply capabilities.
As a key business segment of Azure Corp., Tenpower’s cylindrical lithium battery business continues to expand its global presence. The Indonesia project is planned to establish an annual production capacity of 5GWh for cylindrical lithium battery cells, including 21700 battery cells, and will be implemented through Azure Corp.’s wholly owned subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Indonesia. The project is expected to commence production and operation in 2029.
Following the launch of Tenpower’s Malaysia manufacturing base in 2025, the future Indonesia facility will work together with the Malaysia site to create a coordinated overseas manufacturing network. This global footprint will enhance supply chain flexibility, improve delivery capabilities, and provide stronger localized support for customers worldwide.
With more than 20 years of experience in cylindrical lithium battery cell development and manufacturing, Tenpower remains focused on high-performance battery technologies. Its products are widely used in established markets including power tools, smart home appliances, and light electric mobility, while continuously expanding into emerging applications such as AI data center BBU systems, robotics, eVTOL, drones, and commercial aerospace.
