Grand Opening of the Malaysia Factory Marks a New Milestone in Tenpower’s Global Strategy

On April 29, 2025, Tenpower’s Malaysia factory officially commenced production.
The General Manager of Molicel attended the ceremony and announced a partnership with Tenpower.

In the morning of April 29, Tenpower held a grand opening ceremony at its factory located in Selangor, Malaysia.

The event was attended and witnessed by distinguished guests including Ts. Norhizam Ibrahim, Executive Director of Manufacturing Development at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA); Y.B. Ng Sze Han, Selangor State Executive Councilor for Investment, Trade and Public Transport; Sun Wei, First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia; Chen Kai, Chairman of Jiangsu Azure Corp; and several global partners of Tenpower.

This marks Tenpower’s first overseas factory to officially begin production. Spanning 48 acres, the facility’s initial annual capacity is approximately 400 million cylindrical cells. Once fully operational, the majority of this capacity will support overseas supply chains. From the initial planning phase, we envisioned Tenpower Malaysia not just as an overseas factory, but as a global operations hub — a secondary center for Tenpower’s international business.

Mr. Casey Shiue, General Manager of Taiwan Molicel, was invited to the ceremony and delivered a speech:

“Our reason for collaborating with Tenpower is to push the development of batteries onto a true Moore’s Law trajectory — to drive the electrification of the fossil-fuel world with the most advanced battery technology at the most reasonable cost. This marks a brand-new beginning, full of opportunities ahead.”

Over the years, Tenpower has remained committed to innovation, continuously increasing R&D investment and making breakthroughs in material systems, structural design, and manufacturing processes. It has launched multiple cylindrical cells that feature both high energy density and high discharge rate. Today, Tenpower’s products are widely used in power tools, electric micro-mobility, smart home appliances, and backup power systems for data centers — earning widespread recognition from global clients.

Mr. Kiyokazu, Senior Vice President of Tenpower, shared insights on the performance advantages of Tenpower’s fully tabless cylindrical cells, with several models already in production at the Huai’an facility.

Following the ceremony, all guests toured the factory’s production lines.
